About Uvas winery
Uvas opened in Poway in 2025 under winemaker Tristian Zaldivar, who joined the winery in 2021 and now leads the family operation. The portfolio spans Cabernet Sauvignon, Madeira, red and white wines, dessert and late harvest selections, sangrias, and mulled wine. The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon earned silver and best in class at the San Diego County Fair Wine Competition. A tasting room with outdoor seating welcomes guests and dogs alike, with food available. The winery is a member of the San Diego County Vintners Association, Ramona Valley Vineyards Association, and Poway Chamber of Commerce, where it received the Spirit Of '76' Business Star Award for New Member of the Year.
