Kral Steffanus

About

Rust, Austria. Pavol Král and Stefan Zehetbauer established Kral Steffanus in 2009, drawing on a lineage that reaches back to 1705, when the family vineyard St. Zehetbauer was established. Ten generations of winemaking practice inform the work here. The name combines Král's surname with Stefan, a reference to Saint Stephen I. The program centers on limited-series releases each vintage, including MAGNUS, MAGNUS One, and MAGNUS Eleven. A 17th-century family residence stands in Rust. Visitors can tour the vineyards, taste in the tasting room, or stay in Apartmán Vinothek, the apartment accommodation above the wine shop.
