About

Giefing sits in Rust's historic center, housed in a 500-year-old wine-farming building within the Freihof, a 15th-century UNESCO World Heritage structure. Sixteen hectares are spread across more than 40 parcels, including Umriss, Oberer Wald, Rieglband, and Bandkräftn. The program spans Pinot Noir, Welschriesling, Gelber Muskateller, Furmint, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Neuburger, Chardonnay, and Syrah. The house produces a Blanc de Noirs Reserve brut nature from 40 to 50 year old Pinot Noir vines and a Pinot Cuvée from Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc.
