About Simonis Etienne

Simonis Etienne was founded in 1996 by Etienne and Katia Simonis in Ammerschwihr, continuing a family winemaking tradition that traces to the late 17th century. Seven hectares across Grand Cru Kaefferkopf, Grand Cru Marckrain, Vogelgarten, and Clos des Chats support the program. All wines carry organic certification from Ecocert and biodynamic certification from Demeter. The portfolio spans Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Sylvaner, Muscat, and Pinot Noir, with notable releases including Crémant d'Alsace Extra Brut, Muscat d'Alsace Les Chapelles, and Chaud Lapin Assemblage. In-depth biodynamic vineyard tours, one to one and a half hours, are available by reservation.
