About Kappler Jean-Pierre
Founded in 1940 in Ammerschwihr, Kappler Jean-Pierre grew from Marguerite and Jean Kappler's post-war vision into a three-generation family domain. The vineyard expanded from 5 hectares to its current 13 hectares under Jean-Pierre's stewardship in the 1970s, with Guillaume joining in 2011 and Geoffroy in 2018. The program works across seven noble Alsatian varietals, producing 13 wines including Riesling, Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer, and Crémant d'Alsace. All production is vinified and bottled on the domain. The tasting room opens daily, including Sunday mornings.
