About Red Heifer Winery
Red Heifer Winery sits on 56 acres in Smithsburg, Maryland. Vines went in the ground in 2010, and the winery was founded two years later. Kevin Ford leads the program, fermenting and aging all wines on-site in stainless steel, American oak, French oak, or combinations thereof. The portfolio includes a Blueberry Wine that took Gold Medal honors, along with a 2019 Best in Class Award for Fruit Wine. The venue is outdoor only, adults only. The flight menu spans at least eight dry and sweet options, paired with charcuterie boards, salads, paninis, and snacks. Red Heifer is part of the Antietam Highlands Wine Trail and a member of the Maryland Wineries Association.
