KIND Cellars is a Napa Valley winery founded by David Yorgensen, who transitioned to winemaking in 2004 after a career in fisheries and wildlife. Although he does not own vineyards, he collaborates closely with small, family-owned vineyards, crafting wines at a winery near Howell Mountain. Yorgensen employs a minimalist winemaking approach, emphasizing the natural expression of the vineyard's fruit, and avoids fining and filtering. His wines are characterized by their texture and mouthfeel, showcasing ripe fruit balanced with natural acidity.

KIND Cellars produces a range of wines, including a flagship proprietary red blend primarily composed of Cabernet Sauvignon. Notable offerings include the 2021 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Lewelling Ranch and Diamond Mountain, both showcasing rich fruit flavors and well-integrated tannins. The winery also produces a Cabernet Franc and a Chardonnay, with the latter noted for its complexity and balance. KIND Cellars does not have a retail presence, making its wines relatively rare and exclusive for visitors and collectors.
