Mazzaroth Vineyard

About

Mazzaroth Vineyard is a family-run operation in Middletown, Maryland devoted to premium Maryland wines at seven hundred to eight hundred feet elevation. The program centers on Tannat, which claims half the vineyard. They were the first in Maryland to plant it. The 2016 scored ninety from James Suckling. The 2019 took silver at the Comptroller's Cup, Governor's Cup, and American Wine Society Competitions. Vidal Blanc, planted on six-foot spacing, won Double Gold and Best in Class White at the 2021 Comptroller's Cup, with gold finishes in 2020 at both the Comptroller's and Governor's Cups. Albariño vines follow four-foot spacing. Cabernet Franc appears unblended and in the Estate Red blend. Case Club members receive ten percent off future purchases, early access to limited production wines, complimentary tours and tastings, and participation during grape harvests with a twelve-bottle annual commitment.
