About Odonata Winery
Denis Hoey shapes the program across three estate vineyards. Falcon Hill in the Santa Cruz Mountains grows Pinot Noir. Machado Creek, near Morgan Hill in the southern Santa Clara Valley, holds ten acres of Petite Sirah, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Sangiovese. Chiara Estate Vineyard at the winery in Santa Lucia Highlands produces Viognier. The work spans Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and sparkling wines made via Méthode Champenoise. All vineyards are organic or SIP Certified. Small-lot releases shift frequently. The house also runs Cote du Denis, an experimental label, and Papa Hoey, a spirits line of brandies.
