Carbondale's only vineyard and winery, Monte Alegre grows and ferments everything on-site at Ponce Cellars. The program spans Chardonel, Vidal Blanc, Chambourcin, Seyval Blanc, Norton, Cynthiana, and Sangria Calata, with barrel-aged Chambourcin and Norton anchoring the cellar. Situated on the Ponce Wine Trail, the house welcomes dogs, offers vineyard tours, and maintains a tasting room with outdoor seating and a picnic area. Food is available.
