About
Walter Lorenz works vineyard on Tafelberg, an extinct volcano in Eisenberg with southeast exposure and warm, sandy loam soils. The program centers on Blaufränkisch alongside Uhudler, a wine made from hybrid varieties also called Direktträger. These grapes possess resistance to phylloxera. Uhudler itself carries fruity aromas of strawberries and forest berries with fresh acidity. The Uhudler Frizzante reads sparkling, fresh, and fruity, suited to the aperitif hour. The portfolio includes Blaufränkisch Classic, Blaufränkisch Reserve, and Cuvee 1937.
