About
Gratl sits in Weichselbaum, in the three-country nature park Raab-Örseg-Goricko where South Burgenland meets Hungary and Slovenia. The winery's roots reach back to the 18th century. The work centers on red wines, produced in a nature-friendly manner. Blaufränkisch, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and Merlot form the core. Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc round the portfolio. Beyond wine, the house makes Uhudler, a regional specialty, and extends into Pilgerwein, a rosé from high-quality red wine grapes. The program ventures further still, into Blauhudler, a blue cheese refined with Uhudler wine, and Gin_Uh!, an Uhudler gin with forest strawberry aroma.
