About Liegenfeld
Michael Liegenfeld tends vineyards at the foot of the Leithagebirge, where slate soils and views of Neusiedler See define the site. The portfolio spans Pinot Blanc, Weißburgunder, Grüner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Blaufränkisch. The house releases Pinot Blanc Extra Brut, Hopferberg Weißburgunder 2023, and Blaufränkisch Bergweingarten 2022. Liegenfeld continues family tradition in Donnerskirchen, in the Leithaberg region. The winery hosts Weinpicknick im Himmelreich events in July and August in the vineyards. Outdoor seating and a picnic area are available. Food is served.
