Högl GesbR Josef und Georg

About

Josef and Georg Högl work 9 hectares in Spitz, Wachau, where their grandparents began the shift from mixed farming to viticulture sixty years ago. The program centers on Riesling and Veltliner, alongside Gelber Muskateller, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc across approximately 32,000 vine stocks. In 2013, they rebuilt the production and tasting facility to designs by architect Elmar Ludescher, work that won the State Prize for Architecture in 2016. The tasting room occupies the upper floor.
