About

Markus Lang spent 25 years as an aircraft builder and engineer before acquiring a neglected vineyard in Stein an der Donau roughly 15 years ago. Now he works three sites above the Danube. Riede Steiner Schreck, positioned 120 meters above the river, holds vines mostly over a century old. The program centers on radical purism and innovative technique, producing Grüner Veltliner and Riesling of precise, crystal clarity. The portfolio includes Kalt und Klar, Dritter Akt, This is not a Love Song, Fuchs und Dachs, and Hartstein.
