About Flying Fox Vineyard
Flying Fox Vineyard, established in 2006 in Afton, operates across two distinct sites. Red varieties grow at Flying Fox Vineyard in the Monticello AVA, a warmer location. White varieties grow at Ridge Run Vineyard in the Shenandoah AVA, a cooler, higher site. Emily, Elliott, Chloe, George, and Tralyn work across Viognier, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Gris, and Cabernet Franc. The Flying Fox Series comprises eight premium Virginia wines. The cellar includes Sly Fox 2023 Sauvignon Gris, Sly Fox 2022 Cabernet Franc, Sly Fox 2018 Sherry, and Flying Fox Vermouth, an award-winning seasonal vermouth. Wine club members receive two bottles each quarter, a 20% discount on all other wines, and access to reserve bottles of older vintages or new releases. A tasting room is available.
