Ray and Louise Meckley founded Flavor Fruit Farm in Cement City in 1956. By 1970, they had opened a farm market, cider mill, and bakery, hand-crafting artesian ciders and baking fresh donuts, pies, and breads. A fire destroyed the building on December 1st, 1976. They reopened in fall of 1977. Today the farm offers Barndominium rentals sleeping 5 to 8 guests, each with a fireplace and TV. The program includes workshops like Pruning Workshop, Palette Party, Buns and Brews, Pies and Pints, and Boards and Bouquets.
