Fattoria della Aiola

One hundred hectares of rolling hills and valleys near Vagliagli, ten kilometers from Siena. Almost thirty hectares planted to vineyard. The work centers on Sangiovese, with continuous study of soil and clonal selection, farmed organically. Open daily April through October, the estate welcomes visitors for tasting tours offered in Italian, English, German, French, and Russian. The Degustazione itinerante pairs four IGT and DOCG wines with crostini and extra virgin olive oil, fresh Tuscan bread. The Leggende dell'Aiola expands to five wines, local cured meats and cheeses. Group tastings add grappa and a light lunch option. Each experience runs roughly ninety minutes to two hours.
