About Emidio Pepe

Emidio Pepe was founded in 1964 in Torano Nuovo, Abruzzo, and ages wine without filtering, following a practice started by founder Emidio. The house produces Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, and Pecorino. Since 2020, Casa Pepe and Branella are vinified separately from two of the oldest vineyard parcels. The cellar has extended the aging window before decantation from ten to twenty years. A limited-release wine draws from vines over fifty years old. Geologist Brenna Quigley maps and studies the soils. A tasting room and agriturismo are available.
