About Domaine Armand Rousseau
Armand Rousseau founded this domaine at the beginning of the 20th century in Gevrey-Chambertin. A 1909 marriage expanded vineyard holdings, which now span 15 hectares 33 across Village, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru appellations. The portfolio includes Charmes-Chambertin, Clos de la Roche, Chambertin, Mazy-Chambertin, Mazoyères-Chambertin, and Clos Saint Jacques. Charles Rousseau joined in 1945 after studying law and oenology at the University of Dijon. Eric Rousseau arrived in 1982, trained at the Agricultural and Viticultural Lycée of Mâcon Davayé and the University of Dijon, bringing techniques of green harvest, leaf removal, and mechanical soil work without insecticides or chemical supplements. Cyrielle Rousseau returned in 2014 after studying geology, viticulture, and DTO at Dijon and gaining experience in Oregon, Australia, and New Zealand. Eric and Cyrielle now manage the domaine together, working Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
