About Carus
Carus sits between San Casciano and Mercatale in Val di Pesa, within Chianti Classico. Twenty-six hectares across the property, with 13.5 devoted to vines and 4.5 to olives. The work follows organic and eco-sustainable methods. Sangiovese is hand-harvested at 50 quintals per hectare. The portfolio spans Don Luigi, a pure Vermentino, alongside Baldero and its underwater-aged sibling UWW Baldero, both pure Sangiovese. Gaudio, a pure Sangiovese Riserva aged 18 months in oak, and Terzona, a pure Merlot, complete the range.
