About

Barbach operates four hectares in Perchtoldsdorf, in the Thermenregion, where Kathy Prüfert-Barbach and Willi Prüfert tend organically managed vineyards. This is the family's third generation in the business. Eighty-five percent of the vineyard is dedicated to white wine. Prüfert-Barbach trained at Weinbauschule Klosterneuburg. Prüfert is a certified winemaking and cellar master. The 2025 Grüner Veltliner BIO won varietal winner honors. The Rosé Perlage 2025 BIO won category winner. A heuriger will reopen in August 2026, operating daily from 4 PM with free seating and no reservations.
