About American Wine Project, LLC
Erin Rasmussen founded American Wine Project in 2018 after a decade apprenticing at wineries across the globe. The program works with cold-hardy grape varieties developed in northwest Wisconsin and Minnesota, using low-intervention, traditional winemaking techniques. In 2020, the winery moved into Mineral Point's former high school Tech Ed building, where an acre of landscaped perennial gardens surrounds the tasting room. Wine club members gain access to small lot projects and experimental wines made in limited quantities. Open Thursdays through Sundays, or by appointment.
Tasting Experiences
Garden Club
Two-hour outdoor volunteer sessions connecting with perennial and native flowering plants, with cold NA beverages, snacks, and a complimentary glass of wine provided. Volunteers receive 15% discount on wine purchases the day they volunteer.
Wine Club
Access to new releases, special projects, small lot experimental wines, advance event invitations, VIP flight tastings, bonuses with each delivery, and purchase discounts.
