Windholz

About

Thomas Windholz established this winery in Jois in 2013, working across two vineyard sites two kilometers apart. Deutsche Sätze in Bruck an der Leitha and Ungerberg in Bruckneudorf span 2.3 hectares between Carnuntum and Burgenland, both biocertified since 2021. The family operation, which includes his mother Maria, wife Vera, and son Karli, produces eleven wines from Veltliner, Gemischter Satz, Zweigelt, Merlot, Chardonnay, Muskateller, and Blaufränkisch. Grapes move by free-fall to press and barrel for gentle processing.
