About Vignoble Patrice Colin - Domaine de la Gaudetterie
Nine generations of winemakers have tended 28 hectares on the Vendômois slope, the oldest wine operation in the region. Vignoble Patrice Colin practices organic and biodynamic agriculture across vineyards that yield Chenin and Pineau d'Aunis. The whites are pure Chenin, split between Pierre à Feu from argile à silex and Pente des Coutis from limestone. Pineau d'Aunis appears as rosé through direct pressing, in blends like Pierre-François and Vieilles Vignes, and as the 100% varietal Les Vignes d'Emilien Colin. The limited edition Intuition draws from 125-year-old vines, aged in barrel and amphora. Sparkling wines are disgorged as needed to preserve bubble finesse. The house also produces Blanc C, a limited white from 35-year-old Chardonnay in barrel and amphora. Recognized in the 2026 Guide des meilleurs vins de France.
