About Taraclia Winery

Taraclia Winery was founded in 1955 in the town of Taraclia in southern Moldova. The winery works 180 hectares of vines, with plantations established between 2000 and 2004. Red varieties comprise 70% of the vineyard, expressed across Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Noir alongside white plantings of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The program produces varietal wines and blends. The cellar maintains a collection of 10,000 bottles spanning the 1960s through 2000s, with the oldest vintage dating to 1906. The winery has received more than 50 medals between 1990 and 2020, including Gold at Challenge International du vin, Vinexpo in 1993 and Gold at the International Wine Contest in Bucharest in 2015.
