The house works the Mandel-Höh vineyard and is known for Zierfandler, a varietal that defines the territory. Falstaff named the winemaker of the year in 1994. Gault & Millau followed with the same honor in 2006. Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate and Hugh Johnson's Wine Companion have both singled out Stadlmann for producing the best wines the region offers.
