About Späth
Späth works the Weinviertel from Großkrut, building a portfolio around Grüner Veltliner alongside Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. The Grüner Veltliner Classic Weinviertel DAC 2024 arrives fruity, peppery, and easy to drink. The house also produces Veltliner L&T, Jung & Frech, and Grüner Veltliner Wartberg Reserve. A Rosé brut Pinot Noir 2019 spent almost five years in the cellar before disgorgement. The farm shop opens Thursday afternoons from 2 to 7 pm. Open Cellar tastings pair wine with small dishes in the Kellergasse.
