About Somme des Parties
Somme des Parties began in 2012 as a 200-case family operation in Lake Chelan. David Rudnick is the winemaker. His path wound through Washington State University and a semester in Siena, then the Institute for Enology and Viticulture in Walla Walla. Before settling here, he worked at Tamarack Cellars, Staglin Family Vineyards and Duckhorn in Napa Valley, Mud House in New Zealand, Cape Mentelle in Australia, and under Scott Hawley in Paso Robles. The portfolio centers on Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Portuguese Red Blend. Notable wines include the 2014 Syrah A Stream Diverted, the 2014 Portuguese Red Blend The Love that Remains, and the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Down in the Valley. Tasting room at 124 W. Boeing Ave. Suite 3, near the Walla Walla airport. Saturdays, noon to four.
