About Devona

John Abbott came to Walla Walla in 1994 with more than 30 years of winemaking experience. His path began at Oregon State University in the late 1980s, where his interest in wine developed alongside his wife Molly. He studied viticulture and enology at Fresno State, then worked at Pine Ridge and Acacia in California before helping establish Canoe Ridge Vineyard in the early 1990s. He spent ten years at Canoe Ridge before co-founding Abeja with Ken and Ginger Harrison, where he worked for 13 years. John and Molly founded Devona together. The portfolio centers on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay. Wines are offered through mailing list only.
