Schwarz

About

Schwarz sits on the Annaberg, one of the ridges defining the Sausal in Südsteiermark. Founded in 1971, the winery operates at 564 meters elevation in Kitzeck, the highest wine village in Central Europe. Werner Schwarz leads the program around white varietals. Welschriesling, Weissburgunder, Gelber Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc, and Grauburgunder form the portfolio. The 2025 vintage brings Südsteiermark DAC releases across the core whites, alongside a Sauvignon Blanc from the Ried Wunsum vineyard and a Grauburgunder from the 2024 harvest.
