About Rocca di Frassinello
Rocca di Frassinello sits in Giuncarico, where vines were cultivated three thousand years ago on the San Germano vineyard by Etruscans. The winery building, designed by architect Renzo Piano, houses a museum of Etruscan artifacts related to ancient winemaking. The portfolio spans Merlot, Sangioveto, Cabernet, Syrah, and Vermentino. Baffonero is a pure Merlot. Le Sughere di Frassinello reached Wine Spectator's TOP 100 by its fifth vintage. Ornello carries 20% Syrah. The grappa ages in the same barrels as the house wine. A limited edition collaboration with artist David LaChapelle, Dieci Vendemmie Rapture of the Grape, rounds the work. Lodging is available at Foresteria di Rocca di Frassinello.
