PFEIFFER WINERY

About

Junction City, Oregon, on land that was a chicken ranch and sheep farm starting in 1947. Robin Pfeiffer planted pinot noir, pinot gris, chardonnay, muscat and merlot on the meadow by 1983, and the following year set his 70-acre vineyard on the property's south-facing slope. One of the first premium vineyards in the South Willamette Valley, it sits between 500 and 750 feet, on a 70-acre south-facing sheep meadow. The estate ran on solar power early, among the first vineyard estates to do so. The wines are boutique Pinot Noir never distributed in stores. In 2006, that Pinot Noir was served at a pre-inaugural dinner for President Barack Obama. The tasting room is Tuscan-style. In 2023, Robin and Danuta received the Oregon Wine Board Lifetime Achievement Award. King Estate acquired the winery and vineyard in 2022. Aerin Morris joined the team in April 2025.
