About
West of Dubuque, near Bankston, Iowa, Park Farm has worked this ground since 2004. The eleven-acre estate vineyard sits within the Upper Mississippi River Valley AVA, where the farm's plantings help define what the region's wine can be. LaCrosse, LaCrescent, St. Pepin, and Frontenac Gris fill out the whites. Maréchal Foch and Marquette carry the reds, with Itasca and Petite Pearl added to the planting in 2019. Park Farm also contracts with other growers across the Upper Midwest for St. Croix, Frontenac, Marquette, and Petite Pearl. A wood-stone pizza oven was added in 2010. Park Farm is a featured partner site with the Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area, and in summer, guided vineyard tours run Friday afternoons.
