Ox-Eye Vineyards operates a tasting room at 44 Middlebrook Avenue in downtown Staunton, open Monday through Thursday Noon to 6 p.m., Friday Noon to 7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday Noon to 5 p.m. The program spans eight varietals including Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Grüner Veltliner, Lemberger, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Traminette, and Saperavi. Blanc de Blanc and Blanc de Noir sparkling wines, both made using Méthode Champenoise from estate-grown fruit, anchor the portfolio alongside Daily Bubbles, a German Sekt-style blend of Riesling and Grüner Veltliner. Ruby Ox, a Port-style wine from Lemberger fortified with grape brandy, and Vallitage, a dry red of Lemberger, Cabernet Franc, and Saperavi, round out the core releases. Wine club membership carries no sign-up fee and offers 15% discounts on bottles and 20% on cases, plus half-priced tastings. Members gain access to an annual pickup party at the vineyard in Swoope.
