About Old Westminster Winery

Three siblings, Ashli Johnson, Drew Baker, and Lisa Hinton, founded Old Westminster Winery in Carroll County, Maryland in 2010. The program spans pét-nats, rosé, and reds. Chef Tae Strain, who trained in acclaimed kitchens across Baltimore, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C., leads the kitchen, serving wood-fired pizzas, small plates, and garden snacks alongside the wines. Eater DC named it one of the best wineries near D.C. VinePair recognized the house as an American Winery of the Year finalist and featured it alongside Cosmopolitan and Wine Enthusiast. In 2026, it was named one of America's top winery destinations.
