61 Vineyard opened in October 2021 as Damascus, Maryland's first winery, a family-owned operation in Montgomery County's Agricultural Reserve. The working vineyard and on-farm winery produce reds, whites, and sparkling wines, with a focus on dry expressions. The portfolio includes Rosé, seasonal sangrias, and Don Spritzer, an effervescent take on Rosé. The winery has won Governor's Cup Wine Awards. The tasting room welcomes groups of up to eight without reservation, though booking secures a table for two hours. Dogs and families are invited.
