About Menghini Winery, Inc.
Mike and Toni Menghini founded Menghini Winery in 1982, making it the second oldest winery in San Diego County. Ten acres on Julian Orchards Drive are dry-farmed without irrigation and yield Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Merlot, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Muscat. Julian Gold, their Muscat dessert wine, is part of the portfolio. Mike worked at San Pasqual, Callaway, and Filsinger in the 1970s. He is a former Julian Chamber of Commerce president and has led the town's Fourth of July Parade for over fifteen years. The winery hosts the Julian Grape Stomp Festa annually. A picnic area overlooks Volcan Mountain.
