Lowell and Anne Jooste's La Jolla operation sources Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from coastal Sonoma, then crafts them at a shared facility in Napa Valley. Alison Green-Doran, winemaker, brings fifty harvests of experience to the program. She was among California's first female winemakers and became winemaker at Firestone Vineyard in 1981, holding the position for nineteen years. The house uses a patented displacement device to create an oxygen-free barrel environment, then serves wine directly from barrel into re-usable bottles. A tasting room in La Jolla anchors the operation. The City of San Diego recognized the winery in 2019 for outstanding waste reduction efforts.
