About Lichtle Bénédicte
Eric Lichtlé and Henriette work six hectares of vines in Gueberschwihr, where the Lichtlé family can be traced to the beginning of the 17th century. Eric took over from his father in the 1990s and the winery operates as organic, receiving ECO certification in 2008, the same year Lichtle Bénédicte was founded. They were the first organic producers in Gueberschwihr. The program spans Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Pinot Noir, and Chasselas, alongside Crémant Brut and Crémant Blanc de Noir. The cellar includes Grand Cru GOLDERT Riesling and Fût de Chêne, a Pinot Gris aged eighteen months in new oak. The tasting room opens April through October.
