About Le Clos du Caveau
Founded in 1976, Le Clos du Caveau sits in a protected valley of the Dentelles de Montmirail, where Vacqueyras and Gigondas meet. The estate is family-owned for three generations. Henri Bungener leads the program in organic viticulture, pioneered nearly 50 years ago and formalized in parcel-specific production since 1989. The cellar produces La Rosée, Le Mistralet, Louis d'Or, Les Bateliers, Fruit Sauvage, Carmin Brillant, Champvermeil, and Lao Muse. Sheep graze between the vines in winter. Trees grow in the vineyards. The estate also operates four gîtes, each sleeping between two and eleven guests.
