Domaine de Verquiere

About Domaine de Verquiere

Forty-five hectares across Sablet, Plan de Dieu, Rasteau, and Vacqueyras, tended by four generations of the same family. Thibaut Chamfort leads the cellar now. The work began in 1964, when grandfather Louis became the first in Sablet to bottle and sell wines commercially. In 1974, the family participated in creation of the Côtes du Rhône Villages Sablet appellation. In 2014, the vineyard converted to organic agriculture and holds FR BIO certification. The portfolio centers on Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Mourvèdre. A tasting room operates by reservation. Guest accommodations are available on the property.
