Koller works steep slopes in the Wildbachtal valley near Deutschlandsberg, where inclines reach 60 percent. The vineyard demands hand labor year-round, from pruning through harvest. Moderate pruning and humus-rich soil sustain the vines. The house produces Schilcher and extends its practice beyond wine into grape seed spice blends, manually separated and roasted from the harvest.
