About Kadence Wine Co.
The Herzog family's winemaking story spans continents and centuries. Founded in 1848, the house supplied wine to Franz Josef, emperor of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and one early Herzog earned the royal title of Baron. In 1948, the family left Europe and established Kedem Winery in the Hudson Valley. Today in Middletown, the program produces Kedem Estates Cabernet Sauvignon from New York State grapes. The tasting room opens Sunday through Thursday, 11 am to 4 pm. Shipments stay within New York State.
