About Horizon Cellars
Horizon Cellars sits in the Haw River Valley viticultural area of Siler City, North Carolina. The program spans Chardonel, Cabernet Doré, Traminette, Chambourcin, and Tannat. The 2022 Reserve Chardonel Barrel-Aged spent seven months in French and Austrian oak. Both the 2022 Cabernet Doré and 2022 Traminette appear on the wine list at Counter-, a Michelin star restaurant in the state. The 2022 FireSide Red Blend, a field blend of Tannat and Chambourcin, sits at 13% ABV. The 2020 Purple Martin aged twenty months in French oak barrels. The house crafts Méthode Champenoise Cider from over ten heirloom apple varieties grown in North Carolina, bottled at 8.3% ABV. The tasting room opens Friday and Saturday from 11am to 5pm, and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm, with a deck overlooking the vineyard.
