About Prodigal Wines
Stephen Russell founded Prodigal in Buellton in 2001. Russell graduated from the UC Davis Enology program in 1960. The program centers on Pinot Noir, drawn from a network of vineyard sources. Russell's own Quinta Santa Rosa Vineyard contributes four acres planted to Dijon clones 667, 777, and 115. The library holds selections from Huber, Fiddlestix, and Clos Pepe, including the 2009 vintage from Fiddlestix, produced in 45-case lots. The 2017 Pinot Noir rounds the portfolio.
