About

Roman Gritsch tends the second generation of his family's work in Spitz, in the Wachau. The winery sits directly at the Setzberg vineyard, with additional sites at 1000-Eimerberg, Gasslreith, and Steinporz. The program has earned top ratings in the Vinaria Weinguide 2026/27, Gold and Silver medals at VinAgora 2026 in Budapest, and four Gold medals at GRAND PRIX VINEX 2026 for Smaragde wines. Gritsch offers two studios and two vacation apartments, and operates a Heuriger multiple times each year.
