GOGU Winery

About

Căușeni, Moldova. Ilie Gogu, trained as a winemaking technologist engineer, and his wife Svetlana established GOGU in 2014, though the vineyard's formal registration traces back to 2011. Ten hectares in the Ștefan Vodă region, seventy-five kilometers from Chisinau, now yield wines that have collected gold medals across Asia Wine Trophy, Berliner Wine Trophy, Mundus Vini, Decanter, and Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. The Cuvee Rouge 2020 stands among them. A tasting room opened in 2017, pairing the program with traditional Moldovan cuisine.
