Garvin Heights Vineyards LLC

Garvin Heights sits on a bluff above Winona, overlooking the Mississippi River. Linda and Marvin Seppanen received their federal winery permit in 2006 and opened the doors in 2007. The program focuses on cold-hardy varietals, Frontenac and its mutations, Marquette, La Crescent, St. Croix, and Edelweiss among them. Their La Crescent took gold at the 2013 Mid-American Wine Competition. The tasting room pours wine alongside domestic and craft beers. In 2015, they added Ridgeview Event Center, which holds up to 100 guests. Marvin and Linda Seppanen established the Upper Mississippi River Valley American Viticulture Area, spanning Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois.
