Hoch Orchard and Gardens

About

Founded in 1940 in Lacrescent, Minnesota, Hoch Orchard and Gardens sits on thirty acres planted with approximately ten thousand trees. The first plantings went in during the mid-1940s. Today the farm is certified organic and Biodynamic by Demeter USA, growing apples, berries, and stone fruit for its own ciders and wines. All ciders and wines are made with estate-grown fruit, including apples from the orchards and hops cultivated on the farm for hopped cider. In December 2024, the farm was sold to the American Farmland Trust. Featherstone Farms in Rushford leases the orchard from the Trust.
